Korean Kevin Na (USA) tied for 4th place, one stroke behind the leader on the first day of the LIV Golf Houston Tournament (total prize money of $25 million).

Kevin Na hit 6 under par 66 with 7 birdies and 1 bogey in the first round of the tournament held at Houston Golf Club (par 72) in Humble, Texas, USA on the 8th (Korean time). He is tied for 4th place with Carlos Ortiz (Mexico).

He is one stroke behind co-leaders Martin Kaymer (Germany), Adrian Meronk (Poland), and Caleb Surratt (USA, 7 under par, 65 strokes).

Kevin Na, who has won five times on the PGA Tour and joined LIV Golf since its launch, has yet to win at LIV Golf. Their best result was 6th place in the Hong Kong competition held in March of this year.

Kaimer, Meronk, and Surat, who started the first day with a fresh start, are also challenging for their first win in LIV.

Seven people, including Patrick Reed from Texas, Dustin Johnson (USA), Ian Poulter, Paul Casey (England), Mark Leishman (Australia), Sergio Garcia (Spain), and Joaquin Niemann (Chile), tied for 6th place.

Jon Lam (Spain), ranked 7th in the world, is tied for 15th place (3 under par, 69 strokes).

This tournament is the last tournament where LIV golf players who will participate in next week’s major tournament, the U.S. Open, can tune into their practical senses.

Ten players, including Kaymer, Meronk, Johnson, and Rahm, as well as Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, Phil Mickelson (USA), and Cameron Smith (Australia), will participate.

Houston Golf Club was the site of the PGA Tour Houston Open until 2019, and this is the first time the LIV tournament is being held. 스포츠토토
