Tottenham’s search for a successor to Son Heung-min (32) continues.
Spurs web site SpursWeb reported on Wednesday (June 3), citing the U.K.’s Mirror, that Bazoumana Toure (18, Hammarby), a £5 million ($8.9 billion) winger who has been targeted by Manchester United, Arsenal, Brighton and others, is also on Tottenham’s radar.
Having just signed midfielder Lucas Verbal, 18, from Swedish side Jurgårdens, this means Spurs could also be looking for wingers in the Swedish league. Moreover, they are looking to the future and targeting teenage prospects.
Ivory Coast’s Bazoumana Toure has been making an impact since his first season in Europe. After joining Hammarby this summer from ASEC Mimosa (Côte d’Ivoire), Toure has started 20 of 22 league games this season, scoring nine goals and providing four assists.
The left-footed Toure is primarily a left winger. However, he can also play as a left midfielder and right winger. At 175 centimeters, he doesn”t have a lot of speed.
However, his work rate is high and his dribbling and ball control are excellent thanks to his instant acceleration. He”s also calm in front of goal at a young age. He is also recognized for his decisiveness as well as linking up with his teammates.
According to the article,
Tottenham sent a scout to Sweden to watch Toure. Toure reportedly scored a multi-goal first-half performance in a 3-0 league win over Sirius that attracted Spurs’ scouts.
“I think he can play at the highest level possible,” Kim Helberg said of Toure in a recent interview with TBR Football in the UK, ”There’s no reason why he shouldn’t get the chance to go there. “There’s no reason why he shouldn’t get the chance to get there, 토토사이트 a lot of players get the chance to get there and they don’t take that path.
“Toure is unique in the way he learns and takes things on board. “Now he’s scored two goals with headers,” he said, adding, ”We’ve worked a lot on how he needs to get into the box and how a player who’s not very tall needs to position himself to create an advantage.
“I’d be surprised if it didn’t happen,” he said of speculation about a move to England for Toure, ”but I’d be surprised if it didn’t happen. We are in that situation,” he said, admitting interest from Premier League clubs.
Toure, who plays for the Ivory Coast U-20 national team, played in a friendly against South Korea’s U-20 team in June, which they won 2-1.
Tottenham already have Yang Min-Hyuk (18, Gangwon FC), Wilson Odoré (20), and Mike Moore (17) in the mix to succeed Son, but they are poised to add another.
However, Tottenham’s search for a successor will not be simple. Now in his 10th season at Tottenham, Son has been a consistent performer every season. In total, he has scored 165 goals (86 assists) in 416 games, including 123 goals in 309 league games.
This season, Son has been limited to six league appearances due to a hamstring injury. However, he has still been a top performer with three goals and two assists.
Tottenham’s contract with the living legend is up next summer. However, rather than extend his contract, Tottenham are using their options to delay his departure for another year.
