Popular actors Lee Min-jung and Lee Yo-yi visited Yanggu, Gangwon-do. They took a break from their careers as actors to cheer on the team as parents of a child.
The ‘KCC 2024 KBL Youth Basketball Tournament IN Youth Yanggu’ is being held at the Yanggu-gu Chun Gymnasium and the Culture and Sports Center in Yanggu-gun, Gangwon-do from Thursday, June 18 to Sunday, June 21. Divided into U9~U12 (elementary), U14 and U15 (secondary), and U18 (high school), professional youth teams will showcase their skills.
As a representative youth event of the KBL, it was visited not only by youth players but also by various basketball officials 토토 and celebrities.
Among them, popular actors Lee Yo-won and Lee Min-jung caught the attention of many. Lee and Lee Min-jung, who were there to cheer on their sons, Park Jae-won (Lee’s child) and Lee Jun-hoo (Lee Min-jung and Lee Byung-heon’s child) of Samsung U9, were cheering, clapping, and cheering like any parent would.
In the interview, both actors expressed their affection for their sons. Lee said, “My son is unique, and as a generation who has enjoyed basketball feasts, I remember those days. I feel like my son has become a basketball player,” Lee said.
Lee Min-jung added, “It’s not that I do anything for him, but he’s always proud when he participates in big competitions and does something on his own. I feel that he is growing up,” she smiled.
Lee Byung-hun and Lee Min-jung, a top entertainment couple, were not interested in basketball because Lee Byung-hun was not interested in ball sports. But the reason why their son Lee Jun-hoo started playing basketball has changed a lot in their family.
Lee Min-jung said, “His dad (Lee Byung-hun) didn’t like ball sports. Since my son started playing basketball, we go to a school with a basketball court together and play basketball, but he has to learn from me, my husband, or my son (laughs). However, since my son started playing basketball, I often watch the KBL,” she said.
Lee and Lee Min-jung visited the gym not as top actors, but as parents of a child. At the end of the interview, they gave their son a word of encouragement.
“I think kids are amazing when they imitate the way adults play. They have their own unique charm, which is nice to see. I hope they always have fun playing basketball and make good memories,” Lee said, expressing his affection for his son.
Lee Min-jung, who cheered enthusiastically throughout the event, also said, “It’s great that they can play on a court with big players and do it with their small size. I hope that my son will not give up when he does something, even if it’s not necessarily basketball, and that he will see it through to the end. I hope he can learn from sports,” he concluded the interview.
